The Monday American: A History Podcast

“If history were taught in the form of stories, it would never be forgotten.” - Rudyard Kipling

American History revisited, because hindsight isn’t always 20/20. The Podcast Advocate Network brings you an American history podcast that holds true to the words of Rudyard Kipling: “If history were taught in the form of stories, it would never be forgotten.” We put the “story” back into History!

Interviews

When the show first started, the idea was to have a podcast that viewed news and current events through a lens of historical context. After the first year of publishing episodes, the vision of the show began to shift. Change is not always a bad thing! The listeners (you) reached out to us and made it known that the best content was the purely history based episodes. It didn't take long for us to realize we should stick to what the fans want, and what we're good at.

That being the case, all the interview style episodes were removed from the podcast feed in lieu of the history episodes which are now the focus of the show. As we continued on, we decided that the interviews we had done were important in their content and needed a place to be accessed. This page is for the episodes of the show that don't quite "fit" the mold of the podcast but weren't to be thrown to the wind. Please enjoy!

Brendan Hutchins

Brendan Hutchins is the founder of the Podcast Advocate Network and the host of PodcastPlay.list as well as NobodyAskedforThis podcast. He lives in Portland, OR and has become somewhat of a surprise friend. We met through the podcast world and quickly learned that we were the polar opposite in terms of politics and life. We sat down to have an engaging discussion where we show that although we don't agree, we don't need to hate each other for it.

With Mulder Was Right Podcast

This one is a very long episode in which the hosts of Mulder Was Right sat down with me to talk about politics, issues and other nonsense.

The Juice is loose!

Justin "Juice" Kelly joins the podcast for a fantastic interview on politics, guns, and life. Don't miss his AMAZING impression of Morgan Freeman towards the end!

Ryan pattee (@thezrhino, @thezrhino2)

Ryan came on to the show to talk about politics and the new tax reform. Ryan gained a large social media following by streaming on youtube and twitch for video game channels and is repeating his past success by creating a new channel devoted to politics.
